We’ve welcomed a new partner here at Village Grocer – York Region’s own radio station, The Jewel.

Broadcasting at 88.5 on the FM band, The Jewel plays the most music variety for York Region . . . The GTA . . . Barrie . . . Cottage Country and surrounding area, and features the lighter side of Classic hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s along with the Absolute best of today – including Elton John . . . Beyonce . . . Rod Stewart . . . Celine Dion . . . The Eagles . . . Kelly Clarkson . . . James Taylor . . . Jason Mraz . . . John Mayer . . . Lady Antebellum . . . Michael Buble and many more.

Village Grocer ads have been running on The Jewel for about a month now – and we’ve already staged our first promotion on 88.5 – sponsoring the “Joke of the Day”.   Five lucky listeners each won a $100 VG Gift Certificate to be used to purchase any item in our store.

Over the next months we’ll be involved in other promotions on The Jewel – including a live radio remote from Village Grocer on our Anniversary Weekend this coming July.
