2 tbsp butter or margarine
2 tbsp flour
¼ tsp salt
1 cup milk
3 cups diced cooked turnips
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (4 ounces)

Melt butter in saucepan.  Stir in flour and salt until smooth.  Add milk slowly, stirring rapidly to prevent lumping.  Bring to a boil; stirring constantly.  Gently mix white sauce and turnips; pour into baking dish.  Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake in a pre-heated 375° F oven about 20 minutes, until cheese melts.
