Every big bowl of spaghetti deserves to be eaten with a delicious slice of garlic bread fresh out of the oven.
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 garlic clove, minced
1 baguette, cut in half lengthwise
Preheat oven to 400F (200C).
In a small bowl, blend together the butter and garlic.
Using a serrated knife, slice the baguette cross ways down the centre making two long sides.
Spread the garlic butter over the cut sides of the bread making sure that it is completely covered. Place the bread halves back together and wrap the loaf tightly in aluminum foil
Bake for 15-20 minutes until heated through.
Remove foil, slice and serve.
