We are baking with CRANBERRIES this week…

Cranberry Orange Loaf: This is like our lemon loaf but with orange zest and juice, and chock-full-of-fresh cranberries. prefect for breakfast or any other time.

Cranberry Shortbread: It’s the time of the year again that we go through hundreds of cases of butter making our beautiful shortbreads. Ours are based on Doreen’s original recipe using only butter, flour and brown sugar. We have never strayed from it except to add different flavorings, in this case dried cranberries and orange zest. There are a lot of folks who think this is the best shortbread we make.

Holiday Cheesecake: We only make this cheesecake from Thanksgiving to Christmas. It is made with brandied cranberries, candied pecans and spiced apples in the mix with a bit of caramel added for good measure. It is absolutely wonderful!

Cranberry-White Chocolate Scones: Our scones studded with white chocolate chunks and fresh cranberries, with some orange zest and white chocolate drizzel.

Football Cakes: For the big game this Sunday we are making our famous Football Cakes! Layers of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, shaped like a football, complete with stitching and team logos. A perfect centerpiece for your party. If you have your heart set on one, please place an order with the bakery ladies as supplies are limited!
