Thank you to the all of our wonderful customers who made a donation at our “Giving Thanks” program over Thanksgiving weekend in support of front line staff at MSH.

This past weekend we ran a “Giving Thanks” fundraiser in support of Markham Stouffville Hospital, and it was very well supported. We are so grateful to live and do business in such a wonderful community. You, our customers and friends are so generous, even in the most challenging of times. The final number we will be donating is still being calculated as we have received a few last minute donations, but we just wanted to say Thank You for your continuing support.

It has been quite challenging for all of us this past half year. And for our many friends at Markham Stouffville Hospital, that is a colossal understatement. Every brave soul, from the front-line workers on down, has had to navigate these uncharted waters day after day, with no end in sight. These people are our community heroes. As Allan Bell pointed out to us, charitable donations at Markham Stouffville have suffered greatly without the opportunity for the annual luncheon, gala and golf tournament. Who would have thought one year ago, when we hosted our über-successful “Giving Thanks” event, what lay ahead? And by the way you, our amazing customers and friends, are responsible for last year’s success, Thank you!

We wish we were now anticipating our second such event, however in view of the current situation we have had to put that on hold. We all look forward to next year, where our event will be back bigger and better than ever!

So for the meantime we wanted to show our ongoing support though an opportunity for you, our customers, to donate to our wonderful community hospital by “Giving Thanks” through a donation at our cash during Thanksgiving week (Monday October 5th – Sunday October 11th inclusive). Any and all donations from loonies on up will be so greatly appreciated. We will be matching those cash donations, dollar for dollar. Thank you in advance to all of you, and thanks again to everyone at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
