A Little Slice of Evan

It is with a mixture of happiness and sadness that I announce the retirement of Robert from the Village Grocer. Robert and I knew one another and worked together well before the Village Grocer began, and we have worked at Village Grocer together with a couple short interruptions for close to 30 years. The sadness part is to see our working association come to a close at the end of this year, but the happy part is our wish that he enjoys a long and happy retirement, enjoying his family (now extended) and friends in the Innisfil area where he now lives. Robert’s contribution over the years has been immense, and his sound judgment has kept me fairly balanced when I needed it, his never-say-no hard work is well respected by us all, his unfailing integrity and honesty, but mostly his attention to the needs and service of our customers. Since Robert won’t be leaving until the end of the year, please take a moment when you are next in to wish him well and for happiness for the future.
